Pantone Releases their Spring 2013 Color Trends!

We love fashion week! The glitz, the glam, the celebrity sitings, and the release of Pantone’s Spring colors! For the first time EVER, we love each and every one of them! We actually have some weddings coming up that are using these shades already…such smart couples we have.

Fall fashion may be right around the corner, but Jayne Weddings is already looking ahead to Spring 2013! The new trends in color for fashion & home are so gorgeous, we just had to let you in on them early. We had some help from Pantone®,  whose known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer. That pretty much means they are color experts, and we should trust their predictions on Spring 2013 trends. Along with the help of designers and fashion influencers, Pantone® came up with ten beautiful colors that are wearable for Spring and we hope to see hit the wedding scene!

The colors include 3 shades of green (emerald, grayed jade, tender shoots), two shades of blue (dusk blue, monaco blue), 3 warm colors (lemon zest, nectarine, poppy red), a soft lilac color called african violet, & a simple nude color called linen.  There is a great variety of neutrals, lights, and brights, while still maintaining balance between the color choices. The contributing designers like Tommy Hilfigure, Ella Moss, & Tracy Reese were inspired to chose these colors by things such as books, nature, photography & people. Some of the major influencers for this color pallete include Jin Soon, Collier Strong, & Maria Divaris, who all agree on the importance of skin tone when it comes to choosing what colors to wear. You can read more about the inspiration behind the colors here. Pantone® did an amazing job choosing colors that will work for a wide range of skin tones, while also staying true to the spirit of the Spring season. We absolutely love this trend & can’t wait for 2013! Jayne Weddings & our clients will definitely be rockin’ these colors next Spring!
