It’s no secret that we love all things paper and we’re so excited at any opportunity to create something amazing from paper. Luckily, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing brides who decided to go above and beyond with their paper installations. We want to share with you some of our favorite, most creative uses of paper that we’ve seen and helped create.
Anthony & Jean: Whimsical Pinwheels
This super unique and colorful pinwheel backdrop we built for Anthony & Jean was perfect for her whimsical style and it helped the giant glass room of Crystal Gardens feel a bit smaller and more intimate. Killer photos by Julia Franzosa Photography.
Jenny & Eamon: Eclectic Handcrafted Decor
Jenny is an extremely talented artist and blogger (follow her here) and created all of her decor by hand! She is such an inspiration and we loved being able to be part of her day. Stunning photography by Q Avenue Photography.
Big Star Cali-Style Shoot: Delicate Paper Garland
For one of our favorite Cali-Inspired shoots we put together this super quirky, colorful paper garland. It’s the perfect way to add a bit of whimsy to the day AND it’s completely customizable! A quick change the shapes or colors as this paper garland is perfect for any occasion. Photos by Lily Red Studio.
Safari Style Travel Shoot: DIY Gold Backdrop
A couple years ago we put together this safari-themed shoot which featured rich textures, bold colors, and a DIY Gold Paper Backdrop. For a step-by-step guide, check it out on Ruffled. Amazing photos by Megan Saul Photography. Incredible cake by Elysia Root Cakes.
Indie Wed: Handmade Tissue Paper Ceiling Install
This ceiling installation included 900 feet of tissue fringe garland cut by hand!! It was absolutely gorgeous and moved with the rhythm of people walking around, I can envision this at an outdoor wedding in peaches, golds and whites, blowing in the breeze. The perfect wow factor for such a fun day and event! Photos by Julia Franzosa Photography, Tuan B & CO & Amanda Megan Miller Photography.
Andrea & Eric: Delicate Hanging Confetti
This dessert bar backdrop is a gorgeous blend of ribbon, lace, and delicate sewn white paper confetti. We can’t get enough of it! Photos by The McCartney’s Photography.
Katie & Jeremy: 1000 Floating Cranes
This incredible ceremony backdrop is one of our favorites to date and was created from 1000 paper cranes with the help of some of our favorite vendors! The cranes were folded by the groom’s sons, measured and strung by us at Jayne Weddings, assembled and hung by Elegant Event Lighting, and topped with a beautiful garland from our favorites at Fleur.
