Emmy Fashion | Recap 2014

We are super excited to be starting a new section to our blog – FASHION! The fact that we haven’t already covered this is absolutely mind blowing. While we love shopping and all things fabric, Jayne Weddings & Events has decided to bring on writer and blogger  Christine Cottrell ! She will be sharing the latest trends, hot splurge/steals and so much more! To get us started off, she is helping us sift thru all those red carpet looks seen at this past weeks Emmy Awards!

Take it away Christine!

Did you catch the Emmys? For fashion’s sake, we hope so. We’ve created our very own awards for the most notable, pinable gowns of the night. We sure wish Rent the Runway could get their hands on these dresses!

The “most fab crop top that God has ever put on this earth” award goes to Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano

The “making maternity glam” award goes to Hayden Penettiere in Octavio Carlin. (We actually might get pregnant just so we can wear this…might) –

The “nude dress that’s even sexier than your Birthday suit” (and honestly, that’s hard to come by) award goes to Taylor Schilling in Zuhair Murad

This year we were delighted to see a whole new category. For “being able to “walk the red carpet” and “down the aisle” in the same dress” (and in that order, of course) award goes to Kristen Wiig in Vera Wang, Lucy Lui in Zac Posen, and finally, Syd Wilde in we don’t know, but it’s smoking!

The “O.M.G I want that back and tail” award goes to Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan Atelier

There was a tie for the “So vogue” award. It goes to Uzo Aduba in Christian Siriano, and Kate Walsh in Stephane Rolland Haute Couture

The “I want to hate it, but I think I love it, but I still can’t decide” award goes to Alicia Quarles in Dany Atrache

And last but certainly not least, the “secretly slutty yet sophisticated” award goes to Debra Messing in Angel Sanchez
