Sarah + Dan | A Wedding in the Vines

Sarah and Dan met in Chicago. They work in the Midwest. Their families are from the Midwest. So why a California wedding? Well once you check out these photos you will totally get it. Sarah owns an amazing wine bar (the ruby tap) it was thru her connections there that she stumbled upon the most beautiful wedding venue she had ever seen! She always knew she wanted a destination wedding, but after seeing the glorious  Gundlach Bundschu Winery, that was that.
Since they were traveling from Chicago, they chose to keep the decor simple. They wanted to show off the vines and lovely sunset. They chose pretty lush and low centerpieces and super fun burlap and gold table runners. We placed all of the guest tables in two really long lines that helped create the most intimate feel amongst the vines. Dan, the groom, made all of the paper goods for his lovely bride. We chose to clip the placecards on to their wineglasses to avoid the wind blowing them away. The bridesmaids all wore anthropologie dresses and they had the cutest ring bearer!

Many Chicago vendors traveled out West for this wedding, so it truly was a midwest party with a Californian backdrop!

Special thanks for Jeffery Marini for the amazing photographs! We are totally in love with his editorial style!
