Regina + Eric | An earthy affair

Regina and Eric love nature. So much so that they actually eloped underneath the redwoods in California. They still wanted to celebrate their union with both sides of the family, so when they found this gorgeous apple orchard located in Hobart, IN, they knew it was the place!

For the ceremony, guests were treated to a tractor ride accrossed the property. Regina walked down an aisle lined with potted plants. Eric and Regina tied the literal knot underneath a gorgeous archway, surrounded by bales of hay, friends and family.

They wanted to bring the outdoors in for their April wedding. So we stuck to a fresh springtime garden theme for the reception. The bride planted herbs and flowers in different jars, we sourced vintage gardening tools, vessels and doors from Aged Vintage Rentals. The groom cut slabs of wood from a fallen tree. We placed fresh veggies around the flowers. There was moss, and twine wrapped bottles and lots of candlelight, the room looked like a garden fairy tale. Jayne Weddings and Events created moss letters and garland from vintage maps, as the couple loves to travel and would soon be moving cross country. We mixed this with old photos of family weddings.

The evening ended with guests sitting around a bonfire toasting to the newlyweds and making smores. regina_blog
